Project Logo Animation

In all its blazing glory: my logo animation. It has evolved a little bit from the initial storyboard but the over-all concept is still the same. Puffs of sparks, a big spark, flames, logo, yum!

I do admit the ending of the song is kinda lame. I love that song but I didn't figure out a good way to end it. Suggestions?
Rumor is that we are starting AfterEffects now. Say it ain't so?
Til next time,

New project coming your way friends. This week we are asked to take a logo (whether ours or someone elses) and animate it. Over spring break I did craft my current logo so I am going to animate that. The first image below is my proposed story board. Starts out pitch black with pops of orange that rain sparks. One of the sparks arches high, drops, and when it hits the sweet spot the screen will reveal a flame illustration; just as quickly as it spread the fire will fade to smoke. This smoke then solidifies to form the 'SIN' part of the logo.

The flames that will rise after the high spark hits:

The current incarnation of my own personal logo:
With a name like SIN Studios it has gotta be good! See you in two with the final product.

Project Do-Things-Backwards

A fun filled Spring Break 2011 is now in the books. It wasn't much fun and it wasn't much of a break; more of a work filled week without classes. Guess that's what I get for being a senior right?
This is a mini-project, again using Flash (but now CS5!!!), to animate. We had to take writing, of one form or another, and bring it to life as if it were being written. My project is a finger-of-god type cause with a crack that turns into my initials (CWJ). It took a lot longer than I had planned so I have to run...
Until next time when I animate a logo, I continue to remain:

Project Kinetic Type

At long last, my completed Kinetic Type assignment. I cleaned up the audio, did a lot of monkey-ing with font sizes, redid parts of the ending and, overall, tried to make it more enjoyable. Hope you all find it exciting.

Next week is Spring Break so no new school projects for a bit. I do have some personal projects in mind though so stay tuned.
